Smart Phone App for Tradeshow CLIENT: Food Marketing Institute (FMI) CLIENT GOALS: Food Marketing Institute (FMI) asked for a new marketing initiative that would; generate additional revenue, help the show capture new attendees, and utilize new technologies in social media, while also being environmentally friendly. PENTON SOLUTION: We created a Smart Phone App for the FMI show, which had: - banner advertising opportunities which generated new revenue
- the conference program and a full, searchable exhibitor listing

- ability to Tweet and make Facebook entries about the show
- local hotels, events and restaurant information for the host city
RESULTS: More than 1,400 people registered for the event. Over 700 people joined the live event, and close to 100 questions were submitted by the audience. RESULTS: The download results for the App were incredible, at 5,898 downloads for a show with approximately 10,000 attendees.
